Tech Support person to join our team. This is a full-time role which will assist the IT department in phone, remote, and on-site support to our employees located at multiple locations throughout Central New Jersey. We implement and support our technology ranging from Windows servers, Active Directory, VPNs and firewalls, to PCs and other various systems and technologies required for our business to operate.

Receive requests, both directly and via tickets, and provide both friendly and efficient support to end-users

Provide first-level assistance and/or resolution of issues, or provide issue escalation to other IT support staff as necessary

Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and information gathering questions

Take ownership of client system issues and work closely with both other IT support team members as well as tech support vendors to ensure timely and accurate resolution of user requests

Install, maintain, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals with both accuracy and a sense of urgency

Other duties as required and assigned

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform this job successfully. As with most jobs in Information Technology, skillsets are dynamic and change is constantly occurring. This list is not comprehensive, but covers the majority of day-to-day needs:

  • Windows operating systems savvy
  • Working knowledge of IT ticketing systems/documentation
  • Troubleshooting skills – Must provide strong customer-service skills and communication. Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude is a must
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize based on urgency and requirements
  • Must be able to travel between our multiple locations throughout New Jersey

Education and/or Experience

  • Two-year degree in related field of study, four-year degree exemplary (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc). Will accept 4 years’ experience (with written recommendations) in lieu of degree
  • Software and Hardware certifications a plus
