Job Requirements

  • Drive process and culture to achieve results in the Six Fundamentals of Manufacturing (Quality, Deliver, Effectiveness, Safety, Waste Elimination and Housekeeping)
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution.
  • Lead a safety program to ensure all people are trained, operations are as safe as possible and all policies and procedures are adequate and being followed. 
  • Develop process controls that ensure that quality issues are corrected permanently
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and develop staffing plans to meet production levels.
  • Participate as a key member of the new product implementation team that introduces new products effectively and efficiently into our current environment
  • Coordinate with Design Engineers and oversee local team during new product launch programs. 
  • ERP experience required.  (Plex preferred)

 

Education/Experience

 

  • BS or BA in Operations Management, Business Administration, Management Engineering or other related field is required. 

 

  • Minimum of 8 years manufacturing experience with 3-5 years of front-line supervision with a management level between them and hourly associates preferably in the Stamping, High Volume Production, Automotive or Appliance Industry.
  • Team building, takes ownership, proactively and constructively confronts issues, effectively communicates expectations, delegates in effect manner, adaptable to change.

Our client manufactures metal stamped parts and components for the appliance and automotive industries.  Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Production Manager is responsible for plant/site operations across multiple shifts.  The Production Manager is a leader and mentor of plant production teams.  This is a hands-on position that is highly visible to all employees and is essential in creating and executing plans that are critical.
