Our Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Pennsauken, NJ.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. Work 40 hours per week at varying schedules (Work 2 days on, then 2 days off, then 3 days on, 3 days off, etc). Hours are 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Candidate must have a flexible schedule.
Job Description:
- Maintain and fulfill product requirements
- Keep work areas and equipment clean always, taking swabs and testing cleanliness of equipment
- Obtain liquid ingredient samples from bulk containers and perform testing
- Verify product codes and chart recorders
- Perform required testing of products (raw & finished), recording product specifications
- Analyze batch samples and/or liquid ingredients
- Recommend adding or subtracting of ingredients
- Place packing, raw material, batches or finished product on hold
- Copy batch cards for kitchen operators
- Meet and exceed customer expectations
- Assist with customer complaints
- Release and maintain COA file
- Monitor the filler to ensure weights, chart codes, labeling and pasteurizer temps are accurate by performing hourly checks
- Test run samples as requested
- Maintain paperwork and files to ensure accurate administration
- Test microbiological counts and record/chart results (as required by work facility)
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Ensure all equipment is set up, calibrated and functioning properly throughout shift
Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent (GED) and 1 year experience working in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Must wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
- Must be able to apply intermediate computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning
- Must be able to use tools/gauges (refractometer, salt titrator, acid titrator, PH meter, color meter, moisture meter, consitometer)
- Previous experience in quality control preferred
