Commitment Level: 40 hours per week, on site, contract thru mid September with potential to go permanent



Houston/Austin’s raddest 3D printing start-up, is seeking assistance with administrative operations. This company is hiring a Bookkeeper & Administrator to maintain day-to-day financial record-keeping and administrative demands. The Bookkeeper /Administrator will report to the Austin business development team and liaise with a third party accounting firm.


About The candidate: self-motivated, experienced bookkeeping professional with the following characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered)
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Has an interest & experience in 3D printing ('cause that's what we do!)
Extremely organized and conscientious
Can multi-task like no one's business
Quick learner
Excellent communicator
Proficient in QBO, Quickbooks Pro, Quickbooks Accountant, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Self-starter with initiative and follow through
Demonstrate sound business judgment and organizational ability
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work well with others, as well as the ability to work independently to drive a successful business
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with minimal supervision
Ability to work independently and resourcefully in a productive, small office environment


Responsibilities:

This candidate will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions and administrative duties delegated by the Chief of Staff. This work will assist in all accounting duties across openERP, Quickbooks and a third part accountant. In addition to operational accounting there will be several projects that will require project accounting, which will require meticulous attention detail. Any manufacturing accounting experience will be helpful.

Some of the tasks the candidate should feel comfortable doing:


Transaction recording in Quickbooks (QBO)
Assistance with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Reconciling Quickbooks data to openERP financial reports
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Bank reconciliations
Remitting bill payments
Processing purchase orders
Coding of expenses to customer jobs
Weekly check deposits
Cash & Month End-Closing
Assist in month end budget v actual reports
Assist with updating operating budget and cash flow projections
Other projects & tasks as needed
