Our Client is seeking a Safety Manager in Miami, FL.

Earn $50,000 to $65,000 per year at this full-time, temp-to-hire position.  Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description:

• Responsible for workers’ compensation and general liability loss control
• Work closely with Health Services and insurance carriers to lower cost and minimize accidents and incidents
• Perform accident investigation and type reports
• Conduct weekly new hire orientations
• Conduct fire and disaster drills in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations
• Responsible for employees’ safety, new hire orientation and education that meets OSHA requirements
• Develop and implement safety programs and required training
• Conduct safety audits, facilities walk-thru and workstation and ergonomics analysis to insure compliance and take corrective actions
• Responsible for obtaining new permits/certificates or renewing all company permits as required
• Maintain required documentation and records 
• Develop, implement and maintain all health and safety plans 
• Promote safety awareness through the implementation of motivational and incentive programs 
• Perform safety and hazard analysis of industrial accident causes and hazards
• Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential hazards that could lead to future claims
• Plan and implement industrial safety program
• Prepare material and evidence for organization's use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations
• Provides support facilities' wide to all operative groups regarding accident/illness prevention
• Manages safety committee meetings
• Assist  with the administration of Workers' Compensation program
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs
