As a Mid-Level Structural Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced team focused on designing Advanced Facilities such as semiconductor manufacturing plants, data centers, and similar state of the art structures. Working with other engineers and designers of our multi-discipline team, as well as with clients and construction trade partners, you’ll develop design concepts, complete the analysis and design, and work with the Designers to communicate our structural requirements on paper and in the intelligent model.
You will be expected to: 1) under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis; 2) exhibit high level of attention to detail and quality control; 3) take responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work; and 4) work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail.
Additionally, this position may require you to serve as the Lead Structural Engineer for a small project. In this capacity, you will be further expected to: 1) lead a small team of Structural Engineers and Designers in the development of calculations, specifications, construction drawings, and the structural model; 2) fully understand all structural scope, recognize how that scope is both generated and impacted by other disciplines, and identify scope change; 3) develop and manage schedule, budget, and staffing forecasts for the structural scope; 4) attend project meetings and take an active role to help the team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines; 5) act as the stamping Engineer of Record; 6) take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the deliverables, including calculations and all construction documents; and 7) participate in and champion internal, cross-discipline, and external project quality reviews.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE), or ability to obtain within 60 days
- 6 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering
- Experience in designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
Must be eligible to work in the US. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must be able to walk up stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
