Morson International is currently seeking a Data Analyst Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturer of semiconductor lithography systems and electronic devices. Their division in San Diego is in need of a talented Data Analyst Engineer with database and software skills to support product lifecycle management. 

This Data Analyst Engineer will be a key contributor in tracking and managing the component obsolescence risk in our deep ultraviolet lasers. 

Job Description
• Track component obsolescence with Silicon Expert and AVCOM
• Create risk maps of circuit board assemblies based on component obsolescence tracking
• Incorporate Silicon Expert and AVCOM obsolescence data with EOL notices from vendors into a common database
• Create software and database tools as need to help manage, disseminate, and track obsolescence risks
• Generate monthly reports on component obsolescence to help set priorities for engineering and supply chain teams
• Create reports to track long term component obsolescence trends and overall risk based roadmaps
• Work with vendors to screen electronic components for counterfeit risk
• Coordinate last time buys and buffer buys on EOL components with supply chain
• Other responsibilities may be added as business conditions arise

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work related experience
• Experience in creating databases, data mining, data presentation, and data tracking
• Programming skills in SQL Server, Java, C++, and/or Python
• Some knowledge of electronic and electromechanical component
