Starting salary: $10.94

The Assistant Teacher shares responsibility for a Head Start classroom of 3 to 5 year old children. You will work collaboratively with the teacher, family members and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities. Assist Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum, writing lesson plan, assessing children, conducting parent teacher conferences and home visits, supervising children and assisting with the daily activities in the classroom including meals and light cleaning.

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required License: CDA or ECE College Courses

 

Additional Requirements Include:

Ability to lift a child weighing 40 pounds

Ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid

Pass physical examination, background check, and drug screen, and maintain required Physical/TB screen requirements

Intermediate computer literacy in email, word processing and internet navigation
