Shop Technician - Heavy Equipment

One of the oldest, most established heavy equipment dealers in South Texas are is seeking an experienced Shop Technician to join their local team. This is a full-time opportunity, with a starting pay of $20.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on relevant experience. Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm.


Primary Duties:


• Maintain and repair heavy equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery and systems.
• Maintain shop supplies, shop and tools.
• Read understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot & perform repairs correctly in the shop or field by following manufacturers recommended procedures from parts & service manuals.
• Provide written reports of daily task, equipment condition, & procedures. 
• Perform inspections/reports of equipment descriptions & deficiencies
• Work effectively w/ customers, company staff, & manufacturers.
• Perform additional assignments requested by management &/or supervisor in a professional & proficient manner.
• Identify any safety issues and take corrective action as needed.
• Work safely & follow instructions per company & manufacture policies to protect themselves & others from danger.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, engines, electrical, computers, AC.





Minimum Qualifications:


• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 year’s experience working on heavy equipment (dirt movers, cranes, asphalt and hydraulics)
• Valid Texas Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must have own tools and storage in Metric & Standard


Preferred Skills:


• Experience working on the following brands: GMK/Grove, National Crane, Bomag, GEHL, Kobelco, Noram, Bell
• Welding/Fabricating
• Computer Skills – Windows, Office, Email, Manufacture software/programs.
