Human Resources Generalist needed in the Citrus Heights area for an established utilities organization. This is a part-time temp to hire position for the right candidate who can assist in the following areas.
Participate in the design and implementation of recruitment activities to obtain qualified candidates, including the creation of recruitment timelines, advertisement sources and selection process including application review, supplemental questionnaire development, and test administration; receive, research and respond to candidate appeals.
Participate in the processing and maintenance of a comprehensive compensation package including wages, health, dental and life insurance, long term disability, flexible spending, and other benefits including protective leave; administer the District’s payroll function; administer the District’s open enrollment process.
Assist with the development and maintenance of District policies and procedures; represent the District to outside professional organizations; participate on cross functional teams.
Assist in the administration of the workers’ compensation program for the District.
Receive and prepare initial evaluation of liability claims; review reports for completeness and accuracy; research additional information on reported incidents with District staff and the public.
Prepare necessary documentation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and coordinate with third party administrators.
Pursue reimbursement for damage costs or request estimates of damages incurred; receive and respond to complaints/requests from the public; verify insurance requirements for contracts, permits and vendors
Prepare press releases; develop and implement marketing plans and community outreach brochures, and other materials.
Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
