Software Engineer job in Des Moines at Soap Creek Resources

Duties:

Including but not limited to:

• Providing effective control system solutions to a variety of new and existing automated process equipment
• Understanding and integrating with the company’s manufacturing data systems and control systems to provide software tools for data analytics, visualization, and machine learning
• Interacting with process engineers and controls engineers to understand problems and assess the need for smart manufacturing solutions
• Leading deployment of Industry 4.0 applications
• Implementing data automation solutions to drive productivity improvement
• Developing and utilizing advanced analytics solutions
• Willingness to be on-call (interest question)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering and Software Development.

OR

• Associates Degree/Technical Diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Software Development, Data Analysis, Data Integration, and/or Manufacturing Process Optimization in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
• Five (5) years’ experience working with machine control system design and commissioning
• Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens controls systems and hardware
• Experience with PLC, OPC automation and/or robotics
• Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration experience
• Savigent Software (Symphony Industrial AI) experience
• Database skills with SQL scripts and stored procedures
