Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Function/Dept: Manufacturing/Maintenance

Reports to: Plant Manager

Location: Bamberg, SC

Supervises: 5-6 Maintenance Technicians

Mission:

Oversees maintenance of all building and grounds, repairs maintenance, and procurement of all machinery, all plant layout, utility installation and maintenance, and reports on water and air pollution and Tool and Die making process. Responsible for capital assets, audits.

Principle Activities

· Develop and oversees all building preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

· Develops implements and maintains OEE measure on key production equipment.

· Manages and supervises maintenance and tool room processes, people and equipment.

· Oversees good housekeeping around all buildings and grounds.

· Manages inventory of parts required for maintaining equipment and facility.

· Directs all building improvements.

· Develops and implement cost reduction projects focused at labor, utilities and maintenance expenses.

· Develops and oversees all machinery installations and overall equipment maintenance programs.

· Supervises location and identification of all equipment and machinery.

· Compiles statistical reports and analysis as may be required.

· Oversees maintenance of department records and records dealing with utilities, air or water pollutant discharges.

· Responsible for compliance to OSHA regulations for facility and equipment.

· Supervises and performs special assignments as directed by the VP of Manufacturing.

Financial/Risk Control: Departmental Budget – Labor & Expenses, Department Objectives

  • Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment
  • Manage machinery equipment repair and maintenance
  • Obtain equipment needing repair or maintenance
  • Ensuring routine maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
  • Supervise the maintenance staff at maintenance facility
  • Completed for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform preventive maintenance actions
  • Complete maintenance and repair records
  • Performing repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Initiate facility repair and/or maintenance activities
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment
  • Lead a maintenance team to maintain all plant equipment through preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, repair and planned work
  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance repair and preventative maintenance
  • Prioritize preventive maintenance for regular maintenance for machinery and equipment
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs

Required Education/ Certification: BS Degree, minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance, management and supervision

 

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills are needed to be successful in this position.  Focused on processes are crucial.  Efficient computer skills are required.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk entire facility, climb ladder to reach roof, etc.
