Job Description

Gilford•Johnson Flooring is currently seeking a Customer Service Coordinator for its Jeffersonville, Indiana Customer Service Center.  This position involves taking inbound calls from our customers, processing orders, supplying requested product information, and providing status updates on open orders.  Customer Service Coordinators also regularly communicate with our Outside Sales and Operations teams via phone and email to ensure orders are filled and delivered correctly.  Successful candidates will be alert, responsive, and customer solution-focused.  We believe great people make great companies, and we have great people on the Gilford•Johnson team!


 Providing telephone services to customers placing sample requests, ordering, requesting product information, and checking status on open orders;

 Entering customer requests for return authorization, material claims, or price discrepancies into the computer;

 Communicating with outside sales representatives on a regular basis concerning customer accounts, product complaints, or delivery delays; and

 Reviewing and updating the open order report on a timely and regular basis.

Job Requirements


 High School Diploma or equivalent.

 Basic math skills.

 1 to 3 years of customer service experience preferred.

 Equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office computer programs.
