Job Details Company Overview
Midwest Professional Staffing is partnering with a local electrical distributor to find an Accountant to oversee accounting duties. This role offers excellent flexibility, variety of duties, and benefits. This position will report to the Owner and oversee all accounting tasks. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of operating as a ‘Jack’ or ‘Jill’ of all trades.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Pay: $55,000-60,000/year
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Grimes, IA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide monthly financial reports for management and CPA firm to review
  • Complete daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, purchase order processing, and reconciliations
  • Complete payroll for 10 employees
  • Coordinate with CPA for taxes and audits
  • Complete inventory runs and maintain fixed assets
  • Work with customers answering any billing inquiries
  • May provide administrative or HR support at times
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of Bookkeeping experience, preferably working with Sage software
  • Previous experience in the industrial industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate with minimal oversight
