Junior Business Development Coordinator

RCN Capital South Windsor Full-Time

RCN Capital is seeking a Junior Business Development Coordinator to generate new business opportunities for RCN Capital through strategic partnerships, referral agreements, events, external presentations, webinars, and other various sources. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Driving new business to RCN by fielding calls, cold calling, connecting realtors, attorneys, loan brokers, bankers, mortgage officers, real estate investors, and contractors from across the country to RCN
  • Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with organizations that can bring us a combination of referrals, market intelligence, marketing opportunities and reputation development
  • Developing and maintaining referral relationships with other lenders, and companies like Private Lender Link, CIX.com, CBG and Private Money Lending Guide
  • Generating content for/orchestrating educational webinars for RCN’s brokers and various outside referral partners
  • Generating original content for social media & RCNCapital.com in an effort to drive new business to the company
  • Traveling to and presenting at real estate investor associations, CCTG, realtor offices, real estate broker offices and similar groups.
  • Organizing and running small networking events in high priority metros across the country
  • Representing RCN at various real estate and mortgage industry events

Required Skills:

  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of RCN Capital and RCN’s products and ability to think critically about the application of that knowledge 
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis (2+ times a month)
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Adapts well to change and performs successfully in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, follow-through on projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis (2+ times a month)
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Proficient in GoToWebinar and GoToMeeting

Required Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, marketing or similar role 
  • 1-2 years of experience in the real estate lending, mortgage or banking industry
  • Prior use of a CRM (Salesforce)
  • Prior content marketing experience
  • Prior copy writing experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Business Management, Finance, Real Estate, or Communications

Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM
