The Communications and Training Specialist is responsible for leading communications and training activities in support of enterprise-wide projects and programs. This individual will drive all aspects for implementation of communications and training materials/plans that are leveraged for key initiatives. This role is for a self-starter and requires strong interpersonal and communications skills to ramp up quickly on key projects and programs. This level of understanding will enable the individual to develop the appropriate messaging and supporting activities or materials effectively and in a timely fashion.
The Communications and Training Specialist will write communications, prepare training materials and maintain the stakeholder/distribution lists. The candidate should have excellent writing skills and they should also be highly skilled in creating training materials in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Key responsibilities include: • Create and execute communication plans for projects and programs • Integrate communications and training activities into overall project plans • Write appropriately worded communications to various stakeholders per the communication plan • Develop training plans for the rollout of new solutions and capabilities • Create training materials in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint • Handle logistics for demonstrations and training events • Create User Guides, Job Aids, FAQs and Quick Reference Cards as needed to support solution rollouts • Maintain stakeholder lists and organization structures • Create/maintain email distribution lists for communicating with different audiences
Education/Experience and Key Skills Required: • Bachelor's Degree is required • 5+ years of communications and training experience with a global company • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with all organizational levels • Strong and effective interpersonal skills • Excellent written communication skills with a focus on delivering key messages in a concise manner • Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
