About YOU : You are seeking a full-time position, can work awake overnight hours, and have a strong interest in working with children and young adults. You have strong interpersonal skills and aspire towards gaining knowledge and understanding of the principles of ABA and best educational practices.
About the POSITION: NECC is seeking to fill a full-time Residential Counselor position. Residential Counselors will work under the supervision of the team coordinators and specialists while monitoring students during overnight hours and providing instruction through the implementation of the scientific principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Our residential counselors are responsible for closely supervising our students and ensuring their health and safety during the overnight hours. As a member of the instructional team, counselors work with the teachers and supervisors to design and implement overnight clinical programming. Extensive training is provided to enable the counselor to respond to any clinical, medical, and emergency situation. A college degree is not a requirement of this position.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to fill full-time positions, during overnight hours, which may include weekends.
- Applicants must be physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to implement all medical, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Applicants must be able to remain awake and alert throughout the overnight shift.
- Applicants must have their own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
