Director of Operations




We are working with a Private Equity-owned company that provides integrated point-of-sales and marketing systems as well as pay stations for using industry-leading technology. This is a growing company with a work force of 30 individuals currently. The company is headquartered in Boston and has grown top-line at 40% annually over the past few years.




The Director of Operations will be a key member of the executive leadership team and have primary responsibility for the Company’s operational leadership. This is an ideal role for an ambitious, self-motivated individual that aspires to be the Director of Operations of a rapidly growing private equity-backed company. This will report to the CEO and will participate on monthly calls with the Company’s Board of Directors.


Ideal Candidate


  • Experience in tech/software related organization
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Experienced in the RFP and implementation process of an ERP system
  • Tactical yet Strategic leadership style 



  • Partner with the CEO to manage the Company’s operations and increase the Company’s EBITDA.
  • Build and manage distribution relationships with original equipment manufacturers. Manage purchasing and logistics, including both domestic and international vendors.
  • Manage order fulfillment, shipments, system installations and customer on-boarding and training.
  • Lead customer service and systems maintenance, repair and extensions.
  • Collaborate with in-house sales team and where applicable with third party providers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establish KPIs used by the team to maximize efficiency across operations and optimize working capital.
  • Partner with the CEO to target opportunities for improvement and successfully execute improvement initiatives across the business. 



  • The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in the following qualifications:
  • Prior operating experience at a software and hardware company, including purchasing, logistics, installation and customer on boarding.
  • Prior experience in working capital improvement also including inventory management and employee performance management.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing business processes at a growth-oriented company. Ability to communicate efficiently and persuade others to follow new processes.
  • Entrepreneurial, detail oriented, hands-on problem solver that thrives in a fast-moving position.
  • Data driven approach to problem solving.
  • Experience in a technology driven environment
  • Experience in the RFP and Implementation of technology
