
Delivery Route Driver - Full Time Temp to Hire
The route driver performs deliveries along a specific route to both commercial and residential customers while delivering a high degree of customer service that exceeds the expectations of customers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Delivers/exchanges parts as required on routes.
• Perform basic service checks on equipment if accessible and report office
• Maintains routes and accounts for proper routing sequence and minimum delivery requirements.
• Directly interact with customers and handle customer concerns, complaints, and problems in a courteous and prompt manner while exhibiting an overall customer-focused style of service.
• Follow all safety protocols and company regulations
• Take precautions to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of everyone. Immediately report all accidents, personal and property, to management.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles in a proper and safe manner. Perform daily truck inspection and advise if maintenance or repairs are needed.
• Operate forklift, dollies, life gates, hand trucks and tools safely and efficiently as needed to load & unload trucks for deliveries
• Exceed customer expectations and improve customer retention while building the volume of all products.
• Display professional image and attitude.
• Ensure truck is loaded with all material necessary for the day’s work.
• Safeguard company equipment and products, keeping track of inventory delivered and returned.
• Collect all applicable customer payments and provide receipts as required.
• Accurately and legibly complete all required forms and reports, including timesheets, material orders/warranty cards, installation/service work orders/field orders
• Assist/train other employees as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
• Current driver's license
• Positive driving record
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols along with a strong sense of timeliness and organization
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to meet and converse with all customers to carry out company business assigned.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
