Tri-County Care Center has an opportunity for an experienced Activities Director. The purpose of this position is to develop and implement an activity program in compliance with requirements to meet residents' needs. The Activities Director will plan, schedule, and implement room visits and in-room activities, indoor and outdoor activities, and group or individual programs. Additionally they will recruit,
schedule, and supervise volunteers.
•Ability to assess each resident's activity needs.
• Ability to develop an activity program to meet each resident's needs.
•Ability to determine the resources needed to each resident's activity needs and obtain approval to obtain necessary items.
•Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly.
• If facility requires you to drive company vehicle, must possess an unrestricted current driver's license and a safe driving record as demonstrated by a state-provided Motor Vehicle Record free of major moving violations or accidents.

•High school grad, GED or otherwise demonstrate ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
•At least one year of experience in Senior services, preferably in a residential setting.
•Ability to read, write and understand English. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
•Must be proficient in computer-based word processing applications.
•Supervisor experience preferred.
