Software ATE Test Engineer

Job Description:
  • Develop and document software for ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) applications using LabVIEW to interface with both standard and custom hardware.
  • Familiarity with and/or ability to learn LabVIEW.
  • Proficiency with C programming language or other software scripting language.
  • Embedded software experience highly desired.
  • Familiarity with various interfaces (RS-232, SCI, I2C, etc.)
  • Ability to set-up and operate electronic test bench equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Function Generators, etc.)
  • Ability to read schematics and basic circuit design
  • Create custom ATE Test software based on internal and external customer requirements.
  • Uses MS Office software to express and communicate requirements, designs, and test results.

Required Skills:
  • 1+ year experience with LabView (educational setting qualifies)
  • 1+ year programming experience, language doesn’t matter (education setting qualifies)
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
 
Desired Skills:
  • Embedded software experience highly desired.
  • Experience in electronic design & manufacturing
  • Willing to read schematics and basic circuit design (ideal but not absolute)
  • Strong documentation skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires visual and physical ability to operate office computer and electronic laboratory equipment through a workday.
