Job Description:

The ICM CFO department in is seeking a senior financial consultant to support the Derivative Accounting Team. In this role, the individual will focus on close cycle execution and financial result analysis on derivatives and support the ICM accounting subledger project system replacement project by assisting with developing, documenting, and/or testing as required derivative policies, procedures, and controls. The ideal candidate will have strategy skills to identify and solve for challenges but also have strong execution skills to deliver upon the strategy.

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Perform or review daily and monthly validations/reconciliations reconciling between the subledger to general ledger to source systems

·         Prepare or review journal entries

·         Prepare or review monthly and quarterly analyses for analytical reports

·         Prepare or review quarterly footnotes or DCM schedules

·         Research, resolve data issues as they arise in daily or monthly tasks

·         Support and coordinate with internal and external audit

·         Support SOX documentation requirements

·         Prepare ad-hoc requests when needed

·         Leverage financial industry experience to ensure that accounting is complied with GAAP and Mortgage policies.

·         Interact and communicate effectively with upstream or downstream partners

·         Solve accounting or data issues with internal and external stakeholders (change management team, traders or valuation team etc.) in a transparent and timely manner.

·         Solve complex business issues by putting pieces together and understanding how our systems work

·         Work with business partners to document and understand requirement needs and challenge the team to create inspiring solutions.

·         Work with project teams and stakeholders to ensure that business requirements gaps or issues are resolved in a transparent and timely manner.

·         Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish. Facilitate appropriate handoffs, but track the item through resolution. Escalate proposed or actual solutions that do not adequately resolve the problem or satisfy the stated need.

·         Work independently while driving and managing assignments from concept through deployment/launch.

 

Qualifications:

·         Has 8+ years of accounting or reporting experience in the finance industry

·         Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

·         CPA

·         Must have solid communication (both verbal and written) and analytical skills

·         Must be a team player, proactive, and detail oriented

·         Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

·         Must be able to adjust and adapt to changes in the current processes in order to meet management/company's changing needs

·         Time management skills are essential

·         Strong data mining skills, working experience on Tableau, MicroStrategy will be a plus

·         Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills are required
