This is an opportunity to lead a program and team of licensed staff as Manager of Surgical Services. The selected candidate will be accountable to plan, direct and manage the day-to-day operational activities of nursing staff and patient care in the Peri-operative department-inpatient and outpatient surgery, pre-op and PACU, sterile processing and OR materials. Responsibilities include budgeting, regulatory compliance, program management, staffing, staff development, performance management, assuring provision of quality clinical services. This role is responsible to develop nursing standards of clinical practice, policies and procedures, and participate in strategic and long-range planning.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls. Requires a current CA RN license, BSN, CNOR certification, BLS, and peri-operative experience. Progressive management experience in an OR/PACU required.
A minimum of 5 years leadership experience, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems, Microsoft Office, strong leadership, written/verbal communication, decision-making and collaboration skills, a background managing cost and productivity and knowledge of government and regulatory guidelines are a must. This position reports to the Director of Patient Care Services/Nurse Executive.
