MBA Consulting ServicesInc. (MBA CSi), is a staff augmentation firm specializing in provdiing the staffing of technical services to the US Postal Service. Established in 1999 as an executive search firm supporting Fortune 500 corporate clients, MBA CSi has expanded its service offerings to federal agencies and major federal contractors.

The Test Automation Engineer will support our customer, the US Postal Service, in Merrifield, VA. Within the USPS Engineering Department, the Retail Technology Programs group requires a Test Automation Engineer. The Test Automation Engineer will participate in the development of automated software testing of various software programs and related integrated technologies that support retail solutions for the US Postal Service.

Essential Functions:

  • Survey existing Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) manual testing processes and implement automated testing where practical.
  • Develop and execute automated tests using ALM and UFT tools.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts and reporting tools.
  • Develop emulators to support devices such as scales, scanners, cash drawers, postage and label printers, receipt printers and debit/credit payment peripherals.
  • Communicate testing activities verbally and by written reports.

 Education and Experience:

  • BS in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering.
  • Certifications in testing tools and testing skills is desirable. .

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience with automation test tools and implementing automated testing.
  • Seven or more years of programming experience with a scripting language such as C, C++, Java, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
