Job Description

Human Resource Generalist (HR)

 Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assists with investigations, prepares and develops employee relation issues and practices.
  • Assist all departments in day to day operation of agency as requested by manager.
  • Assists with development of the new hire orientation process for all positions.
  • Facilitates processing of litigation, unemployment hearings, workers compensation claims/hearings, EEOC and FLSA. 
  • Works on various employee relations projects.
  • Maintains current knowledge of and ensures that Human Resources Department complies with Company’s policies and procedures and state and federal laws. 
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of policies covering workers compensation claims and appropriate placement of employees regarding accommodations.
  • Ensures that all human resources files are in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personnel records in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Responsible for starting and maintaining all personnel licenses, certificates, and every document that is needed to maintain 100% accuracy as well as integrity.
  • Oversees and administers performance evaluations to ensure that all employees are given performance evaluations at the appropriate time.
  • Ensures that annual TB, physicals, licenses and background checks are up to date and that all documentation is in personnel files.
  • Works with outlying offices to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates the resolution of specific policy related and procedural problems and inquiries. 
  • Present facility wide New Employee Orientation.
  • Training of new HR Assistants, HR Generalist
  • Educating outside offices of employment law changes or company policy changes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) year work experience in high volume medical environment required, preferred in a home health setting but no required.
  • Able to manage multi state offices and all HR related functions; and or assist the local office with higher up HR decisions / actions.
  • Bachelors in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience is required.
  • Computer / reporting knowledge is required.
  • Able to work the minimal hours of 8A – 5P with the understanding, longer than eight (8) hour days may occur based on volume / tasks.
  • Able to manage different assignments / roles daily to complete all jobs in a timely fashion
  • Must have reliable transportation to drive to different sites to hold interviews, training or advertisements.
