Payroll Administrator

We are looking for a payroll administrator! The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing payroll for our client as well as any internal entities as they are potentially added. The Payroll Administrator ensures that payroll-related information is kept up to date in the ADP system.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities
  • Processes payroll when scheduled.
  • Ensures payroll information is accurately and timely recorded on the financial statements.
  • Coordinates with Human Resource to ensure payroll related information is up to date within the HR data system, including salary information, W4 information, 403b contribution percentages, etc.
  • Sets up and ensures 403b contributions, including company matching are transmitted accurately to our 403b administrator.
  • Adjusts benefit premiums as directed by benefits manager.
  • Sets up HSA contributions in payroll system.
  • Understands the various employee incentive plans and works with employees to answer questions.
  • Ensures all payroll taxes are being withheld properly.
  • Ensures all payroll tax reporting is completed when due.
  • Administers the tuition reimbursement program, including tracking and reporting to Director of Finance.
  • Provides payroll reports and employee census information, when requested.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems – preferably UltiPro
  • Working knowledge of accounting software and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Well-organized and ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Analytical, proactive, and a team player
  • Able to identify and resolve errors and discrepancies
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility in a changing environment
  • Able to plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement – Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a payroll/benefits processing position
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Must be well-organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task
