Operate AutoCAD and/or Revit with Autodesk Fabrication to prepare detailed Plumbing models and drawings for fabrication and installation from engineered construction documents. Review models from all trades for coordination purposes.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Prepare detailed plumbing drawings for fabrication and installation
  • Communicate with Field Managers to ensure project design requirements and field needs are met
  • Attend and effectively participate in coordination meetings both in house and with project teams
  • Follow MTech Mechanical detailing CAD standards
  • Understand and establish positive and functional job relationships
  • Effectively participate on MTech Mechanical team to satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Involved in assisting detailers to gain knowledge of the 3d coordination process
  • Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will possess the following education and experience:

  • 2-5 years’ work experience creating detailed plumbing fabrication and installation drawings required, with a 2 year degree preferred
  • AutoCAD experience required, Autodesk Fabrication experience preferred
  • Revit and Navisworks knowledge preferred
  • Accurate evaluation of structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
  •  

  • Pipe sizing capability for storm, waste, vent, domestic and medical/laboratory gas systems
  • Thorough knowledge of the International Plumbing Code
  • Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment
  • General computer software knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Word, Xcel and Bluebeam
