JOB TITLE:                                      PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR-STAMPING




Ø  This is a leadership position, which supervises all aspects of “Just in Time” manufacturing of automotive parts.

Ø  Preparation of job evaluation forms, which measure the performance and contributions of production Associates while ensuring good moral, coaching, and positive reinforcement of Associates’ efforts.



Ø  Good working knowledge of policies and standards for safe work practices as set out by Sodecia..

Ø  Co-ordinate and schedule activities of the production Associates with the Team Leaders. 

Ø  To constantly observe all employees for safety violations and to take corrective or disciplinary action when needed in order to consistently enforce proper safety habits and rules.

Ø  To participate in monthly safety audits when requested.

Ø  To discuss safety issues with Associates at pre-shift meetings.

Ø  Keep attendance reports and timesheets updated daily.

Ø  Contribute to the establishment of improved methods to meet work schedules.

Ø  Resolves work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. 

Ø  Participate in required training to ensure competence in supervisory role.

Ø  Ensures Team Leaders complete proper training of Associates in their required job duties, work instructions, safety procedures, and ensure that Associates comply with company policies and procedures. 

Ø  Prepare production and other reports as required. 

Ø  Report accurate and timely information to the Plant Manager, and or department heads.

Ø  Provide input and assist in developing the elimination of waste and spoilage through Kaizen and 5S projects. 

Ø  Responsible for safety and good housekeeping in the various workstations. 

Ø  Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager.


Job Requirements


Ø  Minimum Grade 12 education. 

Ø  Community College Diploma in Industrial Management a definite asset.

Ø  Several years experience in assembly.

Ø   2-3 years experience in a similar position (Team Leader/Supervisor)

Ø  Certified Lift Truck and Propane Exchange experience an asset

Ø  Certified JHSC member an asset




Ø  Computers, Printer & Fax Machines, Telephones, Various machinery





Ø  The ability to deal with stressful situations. 

Ø  Should be capable of using good judgement and good coaching skills. 

Ø  Must be in good physical health.       



Ø  Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA. 

Ø  Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.

Ø  Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations. 

Ø  Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
