Data Entry Clerk (Clerical / Administrative)

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, your main responsibility will be to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical data entry clerk is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Read source documents such as merchant applications, and enter data in specific data fields using keyboards.
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors.
  • Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.

Data Entry Clerk (Clerical / Administrative)

We are looking for self-motivated Data Entry Clerks who consistently go above and beyond, always giving 110%, and demonstrating a firm commitment to excellence in their work. You should also be highly organized and detail oriented, with strong analytic and problem-solving skills. It is also important that you display excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact with colleagues in an effective and professional manner.

Additional qualifications for the role include:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid data entry skills.
