Senior Procedure Writer (TVA Experience Required)

Johnson Service Group is a Tier 1 vendor for TVA and we have an open requisition for a, Senior Procedure Writer, for a 12+ month contract assignment in the downtown Chattanooga office.  The hiring manager for this project is looking for a hands-on manager to validate the list of procedures that need to be revised or created; prioritize the list; assign specific procedures to one or more other procedure writers; and create / revise procedures directly. 

The manager intends for the work to be performed in Chattanooga but there may be exceptions for candidates living close to the Sequoyah, Browns Ferry or Watts Bar Nuclear Plants.  The number of procedure writers needed will be determined by the final deadline for completion and the number of procedures that need to be touched.  Previous TVA procedure writing experience is required.

  • Complete LMS Training for Procedure Writers

Workscope:

  • Revise procedures -  list provided by Fire Ops Transition Project Manager.  Estimated number:
    • 154 procedures
  • Revise Maintenance procedures -  list provided by Fire Ops Transition Project Manager.  Estimated number:
    • Sequoyah - 282
    • Watts Bar - 127
    • Bronws Ferry - 63
  • Procedure changes will follow process contained in NPF-SPP-01.2 including (but not limited to) the following;
    • Preparation of revision
    • Obtain IQR, LCR and QA review as applicable
    • Resolve conflicts or comments
    • Obtain PORC review if required (with assistance of Fire Ops Transition PM)
    • Obtain approval authority (with assistance of Fire Ops Transition PM)
    • Coordinate with Nuclear Training if training is required (with assistance of Fire Ops Transition PM)
    • Archive in ECM
  • Staffing will be required as follows
    • 40 hours per week
    • 1-or more procedure writers
    • 1 supervisor
    • All work to be performed at COC
    • Exceptions to this may be considered for workers that live near WBN, SQN or BFN
  • Period of performance
    • Priority will be given to revision of Maintenance Procedures
      • August 2019 to April 2020
    • Remaining procedures
      • Can be performed in parallel with the maintenance procedures
      • August 2019 to August 2020
