The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects
all patrons, employees and company assets.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries
Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities
Development of staff, evaluating and training
Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting
Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift
Review departmental activities with the Security Manager
Meet with Managers as necessary
Other duties as assigned
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness.
Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
Oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
One to Three years-experience as a security guard/law enforcement agent with a 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
