Job Description:

The Strategic Account Manager will partner with the Allegis Group Operating Companies to converge business and technology to create strategic roadmaps based on Operating Company strategies and goals and partner with Enterprise Architecture to identifying technology options and solutions to drive business value.  The roadmaps will drive the initiation of IS programs, projects or products in support of the digital transformation and the Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for clearly articulating the business value.  A high level of engagement with the Operating Company and Information Systems will require equal time spent in both organizations while reporting to the Delivery Manager responsible for Strategy and Planning in the IS department.

Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with strategic, tactical and operational business partners
  • Orchestrate IS/business partner interactions to foster a collaborative environment to develop business opportunities and increase business value
  • Develop detailed knowledge and understanding of the business strategy, objectives, goals, challenges, pain points and opportunities in achieving differentiating business objectives
  • Understand methodologies, processes and governance to drive the digital transformation and ensure service delivery
  • Play key role in Product Pipeline process, ensuring key Business Partner initiatives are properly submitted and scoped
  • Partner with IS leadership and Architecture team to ensure Business Partner initiatives receive the proper attention and prioritization
  • Utilizing trust relationships with Business Partners, work to ensure no unwarranted/unknown escalations are raised to IS leadership

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Business, or related major
  • 5+ years of technical business relationship management or consulting experience, preferably in a services-oriented company
  • 10+ years of experience in the areas of people, process and technology management with an IS organization
  • Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) or Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) preferred

Skills/ Abilities:

  • Ability to surface and shape demand in support of business strategies, goals and objectives; speak the language of business
  • Strong technical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) to partner with all levels of business and technical organizations
  • Ability to navigate through a matrix environment and influence without having organizational authority
  • Knowledge of IS services to explain them in business and value terms
  • 25% domestic and international travel required
