Job Description

Our mission is to provide career-based technical and academic training and job placement assistance to low-income youth ages 16-24.

Position Summary:

Responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Oversee respective dorm area and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
  • Maintains a safe and clean dorm environment.
  • Provides quality supervision to students in the dormitory.
  • Ensures the accuracy and completeness of incident and shift reports.
  • Ensures the physical security of the dorm area and reports concerns to dorm supervisor.
  • Maintains adequate levels of inventory per established department reorder points and proactively orders supplies to meet department requirement.
  • Active member on case management and success teams to ensure student success in the program.
  • Initiates work orders to make necessary repairs as required and follows-up with maintenance to ensure completion.
  • May transport students to and from Center.
  • In the absence of the Dorm Supervisor, will be responsible to coordinate staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised and that staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.
  • Motivates and manages staff to work effectively, creates a supportive work environment and recognizes staff accomplishments.
  • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required.
  • A valid in-State Driver’s License preferred.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

Salary: $15.95 - $17.00 p/hour

Hours: Nights/Evenings/Weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.95 - $17.00 per hour

  • Provide support to residential management and staff in implementation of treatment programs
  • Ensure that delivery of clinical treatment
  • Provide technical support to water treatment chemicals
  • Develop and maintain treatment goals and objectives
  • Scheduling clinical treatment to meet resident and family
  • Review individual treatment plans for clinical soundness, measurable objectives, and compliance with standards of quality treatment
  • Work with referring agencies to assure appropriate authorization of treatment
  • Engage assigned individuals in therapeutic relationships and habilitation treatment
  • Promote the meaningful involvement of significant other's in treatment
  • Develop a professional treatment plan that meet resident's needs and complement services provided by other treatment team members
  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the residential home and ensuring that youth receive high quality individualized treatment in the residential home
  • Discuss progress toward goals with client and encourage client feedback and client ownership of outcomes
  • Provide treatment in conjunction with the youth's individual treatment plan, supporting work of therapist with youth
  • Providing oversight for all functions in the residential setting
  • Oversee the Continuous Quality Improvement ((CQI) Program for residential care and treatment)
  • Read and follow daily care plans and document care
  • Provide supervision, direction and treatment intervention to youth in placement
  • Provide direct, specialized treatment to assist youth in the inpatient substance treatment program to recognize and effectively deal with addiction(s)
  • Implement treatment services as outlined in the youth's treatment plan
  • Work in an adolescent residential treatment center with girls ages 13-18 that have experienced a high prevalence of traumatic events
