Position Details:
Our client, a world leading Pharmaceutical Company in Kalamazoo, MI is currently looking for a Manufacturing Technician / Pharma Industry
to join their expanding team.

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician / Pharma Industry
Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Note:
Client has the right-to-hire you as a permanent employee at any time during or after the end of contract.

Job Description:
Production Technicians - Engineering

Summary:
The role of the Production Technician is responsible for leading set up, operation, and troubleshooting of production lines which fill life-saving medicines into the final containers.

Responsibilities:
The Production Technician works as a team player with good communication skills while exemplifying good production floor leadership.

New colleagues will be trained on:
Following all safety procedures
Pharmaceutical's commitment to integrity
Good Manufacturing Practice regulations for the United States and other countries
Pharmaceutical problem-solving methods
Setting up and changing over the production lines
Demonstrating ownership and accountability to achieve the production schedule
Monitoring the production line
Ensuring adequate inventory of parts and materials prior to initiating a production run
Assisting maintenance in equipment troubleshooting
Performing total productive maintenance/operator care tasks
Executing in-process quality inspections
Recording entries in batch record
Cleaning and sanitizing production lines
Developing corrective and preventive actions
Completing and maintaining all required training on time
Identifying and implementing process improvements

Technical Skills:
Strong attention to detail to execute and improve GMP processes and documentation required.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of various office applications required.
Electro-Mechanical experience/knowledge preferred.

Organizational Relationships:
Primary interfaces include: Quality Operations, Internal Production Units, Warehouse, Engineering Maintenance, Automation Engineering and EHS.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and significant progress towards Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a technical, science or engineering field
Good communication skills across a diverse set of colleagues
Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in technical, science or engineering discipline
Formal training/education in process-based thinking and problem-solving
Prior pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience

Notes:
Associates or Bachelors in Technical field with problem solving/tech issue resolution exp required (1-2 yrs)
Responsible for troubleshooting process; variability checks on labeling equipment; quality process monitoring; data configuration into computer/technical systems (SAP)
will require ability to engage with various different departments to help modify, redesign, implement new processes; quality checks
Pharma & Manufacturing experience mandatory!

Mon. 6/22 - Fri. 6/26
also list which shifts candidate is open to (1st/2nd/3rd)
Site will be 24 hrs/day: openings for each shift, which will be in 8 hr/day shifts (TBD on exact hrs)


Minimum Education: 
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in technical, science or engineering discipline (1-2 yrs exp)
Formal training/education in process-based thinking and problem-solving
Prior pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience
