Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Duration: 3+ months with (extension and permanent placement depending on attendance and performance)

Work Hours: Must be willing to work 5 days Monday through Friday between 8:00am to 8:00pm (EST).

Training schedule: M-F 9:30am - 6pm (EST) typically 6 weeks

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15275 [remote during COVID-19]

 

***** Looking for someone with Minimum 1+ years of Customer Service experience *****

 

Remote position - Candidates must have reliable high speed internet connection - Manager seeking candidates 50 miles from an office in Scranton PA, Pittsburgh PA, Phoenix AZ, or Austin, TX

 

Duties:

·         Delivers straightforward administrative and/or other basic business services in Customer Service.

·         Receives requests by mail, telephone, or in person regarding insurance claims/policies.

·         Responds to inquiries from policy holders, providers and/or others for information and assistance.

·         Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine most effective response.

·         Mails or routes claim forms and supporting documentation to various units for final processing.

·         Position typically requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to understand and interpret policy provisions.

·         Independently responds to inquiries, grievances, complaints or appeals ranging from routine to moderate complexity.

·         Issues tend to be routine in nature.

·         Good knowledge and understanding of Customer Service and business/operating processes and procedures.

·         Works to clearly defined procedures under close supervision.

Skills: 

·         1+ year of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems required;

·         Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite; high level capacity to multitask independently and on a computer

·         Excellent customer service experience strongly preferred

·         Inbound Call Center - taking calls (many older population) regarding individual healthplan and eligibility questions

·         Communicate effectively and patiently

·         Previous experience in call center is preferred

·         Knowledge of Medical Terminology a PLUS

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Exceptional organizational and time-management focus

 

Education:      

·         High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
