One of our premier clients is looking for a Human Resource Generalist in New York City, NY for a 6 months' contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. If interested, please submit your resume ASAP indicating (a) your date of availability (b) current location (c) desired hourly rate, W2 or 1099?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide HR Support and leadership to management and employees in client’s US offices. This position is the primary HR contact to support all aspects of HR service delivery; employee relations, talent management, staffing, training, onboarding, benefits administration and other related initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and who is willing to challenge the status quo and deliver best-in-class HR service to our employees and leaders.

Essential Functions:

Manage the full employment life cycle, including;

  • Development of job descriptions
  • Recommending appropriate compensation
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Onboarding and orientation
  • Performance management
  • Exit interviews
  • Terminations
  • Consultative and coaching support to manager and employees
  • Support HR transactional and annual processes including status changes, salary reviews, talent management, etc.
  • Talent acquisition process including preparation of job postings, posting of jobs, screening resumes, Skype interviews, interview scheduling, reference and background checks and preparation of offer letters
  • General benefits administration (Health Insurance, 401k, Leave, FMLA etc.)
  • Full life cycle of benefit administration including benefit renewal process with insurance broker
  • Responsible to oversee workers' compensation, FMLA and Leave of Absence cases
  • Develop and maintain expertise in HR best practices as well as state and federal employment laws

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles and practices, as well as relevant employment law
  • Strong employee relations skills, ability to manage conflict and foster an environment of positive employee relations at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interpret policies, use sound judgment and recommend course of action in changing or ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in the administration of HR processes including benefits, compensation and other human resource programs
  • ·Computer savvy
  • Proficient in MS office suite
  • Bachelor's degree with preference for concentration in human resources
