Machine Operator / CNC / Lathe/Press

Our client is growing and has several opportunities for  Machine Operators /CNC /Lathe/Press Manufacturing Associates in Richmond and Liberty IN.
The Machine Operator is responsible for performing all necessary manufacturing tasks to produce a quality part in a safe and efficient manner.

Our client will provide training to entry level  Machine Operators
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform all necessary production work as part of the manufacturing process according to the work instructions and in compliance with customer requirements.

  • Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow established procedures when defective parts are discovered.

  • Perform the Machine Operator’s start-up and PM tasks.

  •  Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  • A CNC operator shall start up machines, 

  • Load machine(s)  by overhead crane.

  • Perform adjustment through use of work offsets and tool changes due to wear as required to maintain part quality. 

  • Clean part to remove all chips and cutting fluids unless routing has secondary operations for this process.

  • Transport parts to sight of next operation.

  • Perform adjustments as needed through use of offset and minor program changes.

  • Keep assigned work area, tools and gauges clean, and kept neat, safe and orderly at all times.

  • Recognize and comply with all safety rules. Hearing and Eye protection will be worn at all times.

Machine Operators/ CNC / Manufacturing Associates Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to read, write and interpret standard documentation.  Able to learn and follow standard work practices. 

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and pulling while standing and/or walking for up to 12 hours daily.  

  • Must have stable and consistent work history in manufacturing.

  • Must be able to work a any shift schedule from with mandatory overtime.

  • Must submit to a background check and drug screen

  • Must have work history longevity
  • Helpful but not needed: Knowledge of QA, Calipers, Micrometers, Robotics and blueprints, Overhead Crane.
