Job Description

Accounting Clerk - Fortune 500 major bank is seeking an Accounting Clerk to assist with document intake for a team of underwriters. This role will require the Accounting Clerk to receive, organize and upload documents into multiple online platforms. The Accounting Clerk will be communicating heavily with underwriters in regards to the documents received and making any updates as additional documents come in. Ability to be able to identify different types of business financials and attached schedules is a must. Please see below for the duties and requirements of the Accounting Clerk position.

Duties:

  • Day-to-day function for this resource will be going into Adobe, classifying documents, reading through portions of the document to confirm info and uploading it into another database
  • Entering information into a database, numeric and alphanumeric data entry
  • Work independently and collaborate within a team environment to follow directions and execute tasks efficiently
  • Follow procedures and meet regulatory and customer experience requirements
  • Make effective and sound judgement decisions when necessary
  • Proactively identify operational and/ or customer experience issues and identify trends in day to day operations
  • Manage all escalated situations appropriately
  • Contacting internal partner liaisons or accounting to reconcile the ledgers
  • Work closely with staff to solve for different outages or various other inquiries to clarify information
  • Ensure procedures and process flows are updated and accurate

Job Requirements

MUST HAVES:

  • 1-3 years of large volume data entry experience
  • 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn a large amount of information in a short period (mostly on-the-job-training)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask/manage multipledeadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Driven and able to meet goals/quick turn-around times
