GDT – General Datatech has an excellent opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist to assist the Global Operations Team in support of GDT Account Executives pursuing global business opportunities. You will take ownership of providing the essential day-to-day facilitation of pre and post sales activities and your ability to deliver exceptional customer service and work proactively in a fast-paced environment will be the key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support for assigned Account Executives for all pre and post sales functions
• Working with GDT Account Executives to create quotes in support of winning global opportunities
• Liaising between Account Executives, customers and partners to communicate the most up-to-date information and to set appropriate expectations
• Requesting pricing from the appropriate partner/vendor/supplier in the subject country/region
• Communicating with partners, vendors, and suppliers in international venues to confirm deal registration, availability of product and lead times
• Purchasing in both local currency and in USD utilizing proper tax rate/hedge
• Coordinating with partner logistics and purchasing teams to provide tracking information to the customer and implementation teams
• Conducting due diligence for export clearance and creating necessary documents as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting multi-vendor IT Solutions sales or support including vendors such as; Cisco, EMC, Dell, and VMware.
• Experience with quote configuration tools such as Cisco CCW highly preferred.  
• 5+ years’ experience relative to technical sales support preferred
• Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor
• Strong Microsoft Office
• Organized and demonstrated initiative
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
• Team oriented, flexible and adaptable
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
