Our client is a leading government contractor and they're looking to hire a Senior Accountant to handle full cycle accounting including general ledger, month end, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
This company offers the ability to telework a couple days per week after the first few months! The company is growing aggressively and they promote growth within the company. This is a smaller accounting department so this person will wear many hats and be exposed to all aspects of accounting for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
Handle full cycle accounting functions for the company
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
Process vendor invoices for accounts payable and accounts receivable
Expense report processing and employee reimbursements
Perform vendor and bank reconciliations
Work with CPFF and T&M contracts
Assist with the implementation of Deltek Costpoint
Ensure the correct billing according to contract terms and maintain contracts
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
Responsible for daily cash receipts
Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statement
Assist with audit of employee expense reports and analysis for cost saving
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
At least 3 years of general ledger, full cycle accounting experience including A/P and billing
