DataStaff (DSI) is seeking a Technical Recruiter for an on-site, full-time opportunity in our Raleigh office. This opportunity offers full benefits including health, dental, life insurance and 401K. If you like to work from home you will also enjoy this opportunity, however, this is NOT a remote opportunity! Work from home is available one day per week, and other times of the year.



The Technical Recruiter sources, screens, hires and retains qualified professionals to meet the office’s business needs of our IT clients. Recruiters are responsible for building a network of qualified candidates, evaluating skills in relation to the position requirements, and negotiating compensation. Recruiters are expected to be knowledgeable of industry trends globally and within their market segment to identify top accounts, forecast opportunities, and consult with candidates. They are also expected to share best practices and maintain and develop relationships within the industry to foster stronger business relations.



  • Source candidates through various resources (job boards, internal ATS, employee referrals, local career colleges, professional networking groups, etc.)

  • Maintain relations with approved sub-vendors of DataStaff.

  • Post assigned positions to professional networking sites and/or job boards.

  • Share new opportunities with your pipeline candidates.

  • Maintain a presence on professional social media sites (Linked In, Twitter, and Facebook) keeping them updated with new opportunities and consistently adding new contacts.

  • Manage, filter, and develop pipeline candidates in advance for assigned areas.

  • Thoroughly pre-screen candidates to the industry standards with resume review, phone interviews, in-person interviews, web-based interviews and reference verifications.

  • Enter your candidate profiles and keep them updated in the internal ATS system as they move through the workflow.

  • Schedule applicant activities and interviews with our clients.

  • Follow up with candidates throughout the interview process; briefing them on interview tips, client information and job information.

  • Negotiate salary expectations and clearly communicate to the Account Managers expectations of the candidate.

  • Coordinate and extend job offer to candidates, and clearly communicate hires with HR and Payroll.

  • Develop an understanding of employment law, as it pertains to the pre-hire screening and recruiting.

  • Gain client and industry knowledge through onsite meetings and relationship building events.

  • Practice excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as exhibit attention to detail.

  • Practice on-going training in the recruiting industry and assigned verticals.

  • Assist with training other Recruiters in assigned verticals.

  • Assist in developing interview processes and screenings for assigned verticals.

  • Maintain recruiting metrics on your activity.



  • 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in corporate or staffing environment.

  • Results driven, sense of urgency, and high standard of professionalism

  • Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and operate with minimal supervision.

  • Must have good judgment of character and work ethic.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to attend local job fairs and networking events assigned by the Recruiting Manager.

  • Must be able to discuss salary with candidates and effectively negotiate pay.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite and email systems.

 Desired Requirements:

  • College courses or completed bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Stem, or Business.

  • Staffing industry experience, recruiting IT Professionals such as System Engineers, Network Engineers, DBAs, Project Managers, Programmers, Business Analyst and Healthcare IT.

  • Recruiting Certification or related coursework.
