What You’ll Do: As the Assistant Manager, you’ll report to the Operations Manager for Monroe Warehousing and be responsible for overseeing all operations related to the Bakery and Cheese Ops Warehouses. You’ll directly coordinate with Production Managers to ensure the day-to-day needs of each warehouse are met and products are manufactured on-schedule and within the desired quality and cost standard. You’ll be accountable for ensuring warehousing practices are consistent and in compliance with all policies and regulations. In addition, you’ll work closely with Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Purchasing, Sanitation, Safety, and Maintenance to monitor the quality and quantity of inventory and work practices.
You’ll also be responsible for: • Providing leadership and coaching to 5 direct reports • Cultivating strong working relationships to facilitate a positive work environment • Providing guidance, and subject matter expertise relative to warehousing & receiving operations, and inventory quantitative analysis to facilitate problem resolution and process improvements • Demonstrating consistent leadership and positive behaviors in daily activities and communications
What It Takes: Our products, workload, and days are varied requiring someone with strong planning and analytical skills who is adept at handling scheduling and input changes. This person must possess professional level communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative team environment. This role requires someone with warehousing operations and planning experience, and 3+ years’ experience in supervision in a high-volume distribution environment.
In addition, we are looking for: • An understanding of Warehouse Management and Inventory • A solution-oriented and customer-focused demeanor • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve positive results through others • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong organizational and project management skills • Strong computer systems knowledge, specifically with MS Access & Excel • Food manufacturing knowledge/experience is preferred • Forklift operation experience preferred
