The Internet Sales Associate is responsible for selling new and used automobiles and accomplishes this by building relationships with customers, understanding their needs and closing sales. Responsible for the full life-cycle of the customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To create the ultimate buying experience from the moment of online engagement
  • Interact with clients through email, text, and video chat
  • Build online brand and presence using various social media platform
  • Understand and maintain current knowledge of automobiles sold by the dealership by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles
  • Build relationships with new potential customers and develop buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions
  • Qualify buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport
  • Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services
  • Maintain contact information and follow up information on all sales leads and customers in the database
  • Build book of business by making calls, sending emails, etc. and meet marketing expectations
  • Close sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collects payment; delivers automobile
  • Provide sales management information by completing reports
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in web-based training
  • Enhance dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year in Automotive sales is highly preferred, but not necessary for this role
  • Quality customer service skills and sales track record
  • Internet Sales experience helpful
  • Other sales experience will be considered with steady work history
  • Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships. (i.e., a “people person")
  • Persuasive and able to overcome customer objections during the sales process
  • High personal achievement standards
  • Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
  • Professional appearance
  • Effective oral and written communication. including ability to communicate with individuals in person, over the phone and electronically
  • Ability to make repeated calls to clients on a continual basis
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
