Inventory Manager

Position is responsible for inventory management and inventory control, and accountable for site compliance of all corporate supplier agreements.  Position will assist in managing the planning, implementation and fiscal responsibilities of the procurement of goods and services, including non-fiber raw materials, consumables and storeroom items, for a facility or multiple facilities.

Ø  Utilize demand forecasts and production schedules to plan and schedule incoming raw materials and consumables.  Manage raw materials and consumables inventory levels consistent with business strategies.

Ø  Implement a coordinated materials management approach to inventory management and procurement.

Ø  Optimize inventory levels in stores.

Ø  Monitor inventory usage and perform data analyses to manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Ø  Manage inventory reporting process.

Ø  Manage and oversee site compliance of corporate supply agreements.  Negotiate site specific agreements as needed to meet plant requirements.

Ø  Leverage buying capabilities through coordination of purchases and development of relationships with key suppliers.

Ø  Assist in the overall cost reduction efforts of the factory.

Ø  Monitor, track, and improve supplier performance metrics at plant and regional level.

Ø  Team with key internal customers to meet their requirements for goods and services.

Ø  Communicate Supply Management strategies and projects at the factory.

Ø  Assist in the development of long-term supplier relationships.

Ø  Supervise storeroom staff.

Ø  Provide guidance to less experienced supply management staff.

Ø  Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Ø  Perform other duties as necessary.

Ø  Knowledge of effective materials management and inventory control.

Ø  Strong attention to detail

Ø  Knowledge of effective supervisory and management practices and techniques.

Ø  Knowledge of and ability to develop materials management plan metrics.

Ø  Good negotiating and interpersonal skills.

Ø  Good oral and written communication skills.

Ø  Ability to be a self-starter and a change agent.

Ø  Ability to build and maintain strong supplier and site relationships.

Ø  Ability to work in teams.

Ø  3-5 years demonstrated procurement/supply chain management experience.

Ø  1-2 years supervisory experience.

Ø  Proficient at Inventory Management or Enterprise Resource Planning Software.

Ø  Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ø  Ability to operate a computer and supporting software.

Ø  Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
