- Design of precision mechanical, mechatronic, and opto-mechanical products and systems from concept/marketing/customer specifications through manufacturing implementation
- Will perform basic design calculations, prepare design concepts, layouts, and finished manufacturing drawings specifying dimensional tolerances, surface finishes, and materials.
- Conduct design modeling, analysis, and feasibility via a variety of basic calculations and numerical methods.
- Develop own concepts, design layouts, and basic calculations to support design concepts.
- Work with sales, marketing, and support the manufacturing and assembly to develop and test new products and improve existing products.
- This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years experience including at least 3 years experience with SolidWorks, (preferred, but Pro/E would be acceptable). Knowledge of ANSI & ISO drafting procedures and geometric tolerances.
- Knowledge of designing for injection molding, casting, machining, and sheet metal fabrication is required.
- The ability to make and modify parts on a Bridgeport milling machine is a plus.
