Reports to: Regional Operations Director

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position plans and directs operations of the branch in adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Branch Manager (BM) is responsible for the supervision and development of staff providing leadership, and coordinates activities of the staff in making loans and collections of delinquent customer accounts; delegates day to day operations to the Assistant Branch Manager or other branch personnel. Develops new business and cultivate existing relationships.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Development of product knowledge to identify needs, make proposals and close loans with existing customers and prospects

  • Operates within delegated authorities for lending limits
  • Develops and assures that branch growth and profitability goals and objectives are met
  • Maintain contact with customers, merchants, and community to encourage and develop new business, calling upon sales finance dealers, and overseeing other business development
  • Oversees branch personnel management including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, salary administration, development and conflict resolution with direction from the Regional Operations Director

  • Exemplify the best customer service and works to strengthen the Company’s public relations image with community affairs
  • Manages all loans including approval of consumer loans and sales finance contracts within assigned credit limits

  • Delegates the daily assignments of solicitation to new and existing customers

  • Perform recovery of seriously delinquent customers through personal contact

  • Assures that all cash drawer safeguards are maintained and accurate records and reports are maintained

  • Maintains delinquency control of branch office
  • Oversees all functions of the branch
  • Capability to performs all duties required of all branch employees and may be called upon to fill in for absent branch personnel

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures

  • Perform similar job related duties as assigned

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • BM has vital contact with the customers and branch support employees and therefore, should have strong verbal and interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of people

  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze relevant information and apply individual judgment to company policies. Comply with these policies, laws, regulations and procedures, and operational standards
  • Ability to act in a manner that will protect and represent the Company with the utmost integrity at all times, including collections, development of new business and employee relations

  • The BM must be honest and fair with all customers and employees

  • Display a high degree of accuracy for completion of documentation for consumer loans and sales contracts to minimize exceptions

  • BM should have excellent problem solving and reasoning ability to provide the best customer and employee care

  • Possess strong personal attributes such as a high energy level, self-motivation, positive outlook, and integrity in all relations with customers and the community

  • Must be a team player

  • Ability to develop and train the employees to reach common goals of the branch office

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines for themselves and their employees.

  • Develop and maintain technical skills such as: operation of standard office equipment, computer terminal, copiers, and calculators, be able to handle and count cash, and type accurately and proficiently

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to the use of and ability to operate a personal automobile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of one to two years experience in financial services or related field dealing with customers

  • Ability to meet current licensing requirements of various federal and state regulators and insurance companies
