Our client is a leading manufacturer of heat activated films, adhesives, water proofing seam tapes, and custom films and they need a Plant Manager for a critical leadership role in driving operational efficiencies and best practices within the organization, driving alignment and tactical execution of corporate growth strategy.


 Provide guidance, leadership and direction to a manufacturing team

 Oversee hiring, training and development for all US Manufacturing personnel.

 Build on a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

 Act as a change agent driving change, delivering efficiencies while utilizing lean concepts.

 Provide technical expertise and effective problem-solving techniques resolving business and manufacturing issues.

 Plan and implement programs to maintain a safe and productive work environment and foster engagement of all employees to drive continuous improvement.

 Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) setting targets and leveraging data to action approach in formulating preventative strategy, improvements, and assessing operational health.

 Collaborate cross functionally; establishing effective relationships to support the needs of the business, while providing influence to gain buy in and support relative to functional initiatives.

 Work with the Global Director of Manufacturing to establish strategy and departmental budgets

REQUIREMENTS for Plant Manager

 BS degree preferably in Plastics or Chemical Engineering required.

 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 3 years as a line manager

 Experience coaching mentoring and developing a diversified workforce a must.

 Prior experience within the plastics industry highly desirable.

 Exemplary leadership, team building and communication skills.

 Must have a high degree of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.

 Knowledge of operational systems, ERP systems, best practices, processes and technology.

 Understanding of operational budgets, cost analysis, and planning forecasts.

 Hands on knowledge of managerial and problem-solving skills.

 Travel as needed 10%
