Summary:

The Hill Group (Hill) is seeking a Service Sales Manager in our Hill Fire Protection (HFP) division of Hill. As the Service Sales Manager, you would be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the sales team and overseeing revenue goals. The Service Sales Manager would also be responsible for the development and engagement of the department team members.

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Works with the President to develop sales plans; directs overall activities to assist in achieving total sales objectives

·         Supervises and coordinates sales and estimating efforts within the Service Department, including making bid/no bid decisions, and maintaining positive customer relationships

·         Ensures accurate and thorough proposals are prepared in a timely fashion to meet sales goals

·         Manages, leads, and mentors the sales team to achieve predetermined goals and exceed customer expectations; conducts annual performance evaluations

·         Responds to customer inquiries and complaints; decides on the best course of action to exceed the customer’s expectations; holds sales team accountable to a high standard of customer satisfaction

·         Increases overall customer base of sprinkler system service including fire equipment if applicable

·         Reviews and oversees contractual agreements, along with monthly inspection schedules and makes necessary adjustments to ensure timely field execution

·         Follows-up with customers regularly on all inspection, deficiency and work order quotes on a continuous basis

·         Reviews monthly gross margins on work orders and holds salespeople accountable for minimum acceptable margins

·         Periodic customer entertainment

·         Assists in the hiring process for the service department staff

·         Performs other duties as assigned

 

Direct Reports:

 

·         (5) Account Managers

 

Experience and Technical Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred

·         Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience, including previous managerial experience. Construction or Service industry preferred

·         General knowledge of fire protection equipment and services preferred

·         Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams), experience with Penta is a plus

Other Qualifications:

 

·         Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience working directly with all levels of employees

·         Requires an ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing situations

·         Requires initiative, great attention to detail, accuracy, and an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and delegate

·         Requires analytical problem-solving skills

·         Must be dependable, organized, and self-motivated
