Kingsbury, Inc.'s Oshkosh Manufacturing Division is seeking a dedicated, reliable and hardworking individual for their Shipping/Receiving department at their Oshkosh, WI facility.

Under the direction of Shipping Supervisor, packs and prepares customer orders for shipping, reviews materials and operates equipment, and loads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations in a fast-paced environment. Reviews customer delivery requirements, and performs final inspection before product leaves facility to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pull orders from staging area, and prepare product for shipping to customers. 
  • Ensure customer order and product match; box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary. 
  • Operates Forklift and loads trucks with outgoing products and materials. 
  • Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct. 
  • Verify the quantity and quality of material. 
  • Operate shrink wrapper, and other equipment related to packaging, including creating boxes to meet shipping specifications. 
  • Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier. 
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork. 
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. 
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and cost reduction objectives.
  • Maintains regular attendance, and works weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to stand, talk, hear, reach with arms and hands, and use hands to grasp, hold, or handle items, and stand over 2/3 of the time, and walk up to 2/3 of the time. The position also requires the ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl under 1/3 of the time.

Lifting: This position requires lifting up to 25 pounds over 2/3 of the time, lifting up to 50 pounds up to 2/3 of the time, and lifting up to 100 pounds less than 1/3 of the time.

The work environment is a machine shop setting in the shipping /receiving area; hearing and eye protection required. This position requires working near mechanical moving parts over 2/3 of the time, as well as working near wet or humid, or warm conditions, and airborne particles or fumes or airborne particles under 1/3 of the time.

The noise level typical for the work environment of this job is Loud.
