Johnson Service Group is recruiting for an experienced, Civil Engineer, for a direct hire position in Orlando, FL.  Serving the entire state of Florida, our client provides quality Civil Engineering, Surveying, and Transportation Planning services to private, federal, state, county, and municipal clients.

 

The candidate should have a strong track record of success with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and actively participate in the growth of our Florida market.  This role will require a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 12 years post-registration experience. (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Status Required.)

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Produce strategies for growth and innovation, and drive performance for results
  • Develop further business with existing clients and grow new client relationships
  • Monitor and implement strategies to fulfill business performance objectives
  • Meet with clients to identify upcoming opportunities and confirm the performance on contracts
  • Lead internal capture planning and strategy sessions and review technical and cost proposals
  • Actively participate in industry leadership roles, be involved with community engagement, organize participation at conferences and industry events
  • Articulate your vision and standards for professionalism, team work, quality, and technical excellence
  • Interview and hire new staff to fulfill current project needs while planning for future business
  • Serve as a technical manager and/or project manager for multiple projects; provide technical oversight
  • Mentor personnel with technical and management competencies; inspire and enable others to succeed
  • Engage with personnel by reviewing and evaluating workload, resource planning, project performance, and business development opportunities
  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are being implemented
  • Coordinating proposals, invoices, labor tracking activities
